Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory since 2002.

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Project Officer
For a period of nine months
The Candidate will:
    Participate in planning of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) activities’ implementation.
    Implement WASH activities (beneficiary selection, field works, trainings, tenders, community organization).
•    Follow up implementation of WASH activities through community’s direct methodology, and provide technical advice and feedback to the community during implementation as required.  
    Provide technical assistance to beneficiaries and counterparts.  
    Participate in data collection for monitoring and evaluation of results and objectives indicators.
    Participate in the forecast and follow up of project expenses and budget related to WASH component.
    Participate in the design and implementation of WASH assessments, surveys or any other project identification study in collaboration and coordination with the WASH Head of Project and WASH program manager.
    Participate in the design of WASH problem statements, concept papers and projects in collaboration and coordination with the WASH Head of Project and WASH program manager.  
    Work in close collaboration with the GIS and Database Officer in preparation of water network layouts. 
    Participate in permanent information gathering from other NGOs, institutions, local authorities and other key actors about local WASH situation.
    Participate in writing of technical documents related to implementation of WASH activities (terms of reference, technical studies or surveys, tender reports, announcements, technical evaluation).
Profile of the Candidate:
    Bachelor degree in civil engineering or any related field; 
    Minimum 3 years experience in WASH programs, knowledge in humanitarian or emergency programming is a plus.
    Experience in organising and working at community level, and ability to work directly with the community for activity implementation.  
    Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation of programs/ activities is a plus.
    Work knowledge in GIS is desirable
    Practical knowledge and experience in Water and Sanitation, design, construction and rehabilitation of water infrastructure (specifically in steel and HDPE pipelines and water networks).
    Good command of English, both written and spoken.  
    Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
    Excellent communication and organization skills
    Excellent knowledge AUTO Cad, MS project, Microsoft Office application
    Valid driving licence and proven driving skills.
    Ability to travel in West Bank and stay overnight
