Below are a few examples of recent AIDA initiatives and achievements.
The international community must urgently change its approach to Gaza and deliver on promises of reconstruction, 46 agencies said April 13, 2015 in a new report on the lack of progress since the 2014 conflict.
AIDA has worked to highlight the displacement of Palestinians across the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Whether reporting on Access Restricted Areas in Gaza, where farmers are prevented from working their land, or the demolition of Palestinian structures in the West Bank, AIDA draws attention to the experiences of ordinary people.
AIDA members say in this October 3, 2014 policy paper that "donors must not pour endless money into reconstructing Gaza without the prospect of a fundamental change in the status quo that would allow for their interventions to be sustainable."
In March 2011, AIDA members produced a position paper on development principles in the oPt which identified the Israeli planning regime in Area C as a major barrier to humanitarian and development aid projects.
